Home Services Charity websites Accessible websites
Websites everyone can use.
Accessibility audits, fixes and new builds to WCAG 2.2 AA, so every supporter can read, find their way and give.
What it is
Around one in four people in the UK report a disability, and many more read on a phone in bright sun, use only a keyboard or zoom in to read. If a donation form doesn’t work for them, the gift is lost, and so is the trust.
We audit existing sites against WCAG 2.2 AA and fix what blocks people first: forms, contrast, focus, headings and labels. For new sites, we design and build to the standard from the first wireframe.
Every site and donation journey is tested with a keyboard and a screen reader before launch, and we help you publish an accessibility statement that says honestly what works and what is being fixed.

Questions
Questions about accessible websites.
What is WCAG 2.2 AA?
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines are the international standard for accessible websites. Version 2.2 was published in 2023, and level AA is the level most organisations aim for.
Do charities have to meet it?
Public sector websites must. Most charities are not covered by those regulations, but the Equality Act 2010 expects service providers, charities included, to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people, and WCAG 2.2 AA is the usual way to show you have.
Can you fix our current site, or do we need a new one?
Usually we can fix it. An audit shows what blocks people, and the most important fixes, such as forms, contrast and focus, rarely need a rebuild.
Do accessibility overlays and widgets work?
Not on their own. Plugins that add a toolbar don’t fix the underlying code, and some get in the way of screen readers. We fix the site itself.
Will you write our accessibility statement?
Yes. We draft it from the audit, in plain words, and help you keep it up to date.
